Berechnung des Handfeuerlöscherbedarfs
Mittels Löschmitteleinheit (LE) ist es möglich die Leistungsfähigkeit (Rating) unterschiedlicher Feuerlöscherbauarten zu vergleichen und das Löschvermögen der Feuerlöscher zu addieren.
Die K.A.B.-Handfeuerlöscher erreichen folgende Löschmitteleinheiten (LE):

Die EN 3 unterteilt die Löschgeräte in die Leistungsklassen 1 bis 15 und die unten stehende Tabelle wiedergibt den Bedarf nach „LE“ aufgrund der Fläche und der Brandgefährdung. Sie können Ihren Bedarf somit selber berechnen/entnehmen:

Beispiel
Eine 200 m2 grosse Arbeitswerkstätte mit mittlerer Brandgefährdung bedarf somit 24 Löschmitteleinheiten (LE). Diese LE können nun auf verschiedene Art und Weise abgedeckt werden z. B. mittels 4 Stück 6 l Schaumlöscher (Modell S 6 Premium) oder z. B. mittels 2 Stück 9 kg Pulverlöscher (Modell P 9 Premium) etc.
